Keen to improve their road frontage, Henderson High School needed help. A potholed and worn-out driveway, broken curbs and no safe pedestrian access all had the front of the School looking nothing like the Board’s intentions for it.
In meeting with the Principal, a vision and plan took shape.
Given Henderson High is built on peat, this wasn’t to be as straightforward as hoped. ACL brought in all required to get rid of the old, prepare the land for a long-term, robust solution, and got stuck in. Glass-like hot mix, contoured curb-lines, exposed aggregate footpaths all add to a spectacular outcome!
We loved working with a school passionate about making a difference in their community, and the improvement of their first impression of the school helps.
